Ebenezer Ahumah Djietror Appointed New Clerk to Parliament

The Parliamentary Service Board has appointed Ebenezer Ahumah Djietror as the Clerk to Parliament, following the retirement of Cyril Kwabena Oteng Nsiah. Djietror’s appointment comes after a meeting in November 2024, where deputy clerks were interviewed for the position.

Djietror is a lawyer and has served as Clerk-at-Table of the house. He has worked with various committees, including the Committee on Constitutional, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs, and the Committee on Foreign Affairs.

Djietror’s appointment takes effect on January 1, 2025, and he will conduct the swearing-in of members of Parliament and the Speaker on January 7, 2025.

The Speaker, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has issued an appointment letter to Djietror and will announce his appointment to the House before the holidays.
