Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has presented a comprehensive plan to the Ga Traditional Council, outlining his vision for creating opportunities for the Ga State. The plan, which includes reviving the Ga language, protecting the Ga Culture, and compensating the Ga State for hosting the national capital, has been hailed as a long-awaited solution for the Ga State.
According to Dr. Bawumia, the government holds every tribe at heart, and the NPP is committed to promoting unity and development across the country. He noted that the number of Gas serving in the current administration is a testament to the NPP’s inclusive approach.
Dr. Bawumia assured the traditional council of his preparedness to work hard to improve lives through his policies if elected president. He emphasized that his presidency will bring more development to Greater Accra, which hosts the nation’s capital.
The Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru, praised Dr. Bawumia’s plan, describing it as a long-awaited solution for the Ga State. He pledged to work with Dr. Bawumia to implement the plan and called for peace and a social contract to protect the heritage of the Ga State.
Dr. Bawumia’s comprehensive plan for the Ga State is a significant step towards promoting development and unity in the region. As Ghana prepares for its presidential and parliamentary elections on December 7, Dr. Bawumia’s commitment to empowering the Ga State is likely to resonate with voters.
