The Assemblies of God, Ghana has unveiled its 2025 theme, “Pray Without Ceasing” (For Supernatural Manifestations), based on 1 Thessalonians 5:17. General Superintendent Reverend Stephen Yenusom Wengam made the announcement on November 14, 2024, at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi.

Rev. Wengam emphasized the importance of continuous prayer as the foundation of the church’s spiritual life. He urged members and leaders to engage in daily, heartfelt prayers, stressing that prayer should not be seen as an occasional activity but as an essential practice that strengthens one’s relationship with God.

“Prayer is a daily necessity, the air we breathe. It’s a vital human need that provokes grace, opens the heavens, and brings the refilling of the Holy Spirit,” Rev. Wengam said. He explained that prayer activates spiritual power, releases divine glory, and breaks down barriers.

The 2025 theme aims to foster a culture of constant prayer throughout Assemblies of God congregations in Ghana. It focuses on four key areas: prayer for churches, fasting and prayer, prayer for the harvest of souls, and prayer for supernatural manifestation.

Rev. Wengam called on leaders to model continuous prayer and inspire their congregations to wholeheartedly embrace the theme. The church’s journey towards achieving this theme serves as a call and commitment to deepen prayer lives and prepare for renewed spiritual vitality and breakthrough.
