Pokuase enstools new Queen Mother following the demise of Naa Densua III.

The people of Pokuase have enstooled a new Queen Mother ,Naa Klokai Densua IV, following the demise of Queen Naa Densua III. Pokuase is in the Ga-North Municipality under the Otublohum paramountcy of Accra.The newly enstooled Queen Mother is known in private life as Hawa Naa Merley Laryea.

The throne was unoccupied for the past two years due to the demise of the then Queen Mother, Naa Densua III.

Naa Klorkai Densua IV was enstooled under the auspices of Nii Otto Kwame V, on July 25, 2020, after the performance of a week-long in-door traditional ceremonies and rites.The new Queen Mother is a royal direct descendant of Naa Densua clan of Pokuase and the late Otoblafo, the founder of Otublohum. She is 48 years old and married with four children

The Pokuase township and its stools are directly under the Otublohum Paramountcy, in the care of Nii Doodo Nsaki , Otublohum Mantse(Chief), Accra. The current chief of Pokuase Nii Otto Kwame V, a very noble and humble leader. With the outdooring of the new Queen Mother , it is expected that the two will lead the people of Pokuase with the wisdom of King Solomon and bring development and Peace to the area.

Naa Klorkai Densua IV is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Queen Hawa Foundation. She supervises an orphanage and needy children and elderly people homes. She runs microfinance company which seeks to empower , enhance self esteem and promote entrepreneurship for women.

Her passion is to assist the under privileged and vulnerable persons in society, hence her foundation serving as a platform for that purpose.

She is the product of the Brown Cross Nursing School in United Kingdom and graduated as a Healthcare Assistant. She also attended the Accra Polytechnic, where she pursued a course in Catering and Hotel Management.

Among the large crowd that witnessed the outdooring ceremony of Naa Klorkai Densua IV included Agbotadua Badabazu Adjaho of Avenorpeme , Atsyiame, Togbe Samaflo of Atsyiame Traditional area and Mama Awushie Adjaho, Queen Mother of the Ewe Association of Chicago Metropolis and sister of the new Queen Mother.
