Kwame Governs Agbodza , Chief Whip of the NDC Majority Group in Parliament and MP for Adaklu, has reiterated that the NDC holds a majority in Parliament. This majority status stems from the actions of three NPP members who have effectively disqualified themselves from Parliament.
At a press conference, Agbodza outlined the party’s plans for the upcoming parliamentary meeting. The NDC caucus will attend the sitting as directed by the Speaker and take their rightful place on the majority side of the chamber. Agbodza emphasized the party’s commitment to prioritizing Ghanaian interests in their legislative agenda.
The NDC majority has pledged not to use their numerical advantage to frustrate government business. Instead, they will cooperate with the minority NPP group on initiatives benefiting Ghanaians. Agbodza assured that the NDC will support initiatives improving the lives of Ghanaian citizens and pass legislation that helps the country.
As the MP for Adaklu, Agbodza brings experience from his previous roles in the 6th and 7th Parliaments. His commitment to Ghana’s development is evident in his party’s stance on cooperation and prioritizing national interests.
