Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, New Patriotic Party flagbearer, continued his Volta Region campaign tour Wednesday, focusing on agricultural development in Ketu North, Ketu South, Akatsi South and Central Tongu Constituencies.
Addressing supporters, Dr. Bawumia emphasized agriculture’s vital economic role, citing 60% Ghanaian engagement. His presidency prioritizes agricultural growth.
“A Bawumia presidency will establish District Agric Mechanization Centres nationwide,” he pledged. “Area-appropriate factories will reduce post-harvest losses by adding value to production.”
Dr. Bawumia’s comprehensive agricultural plan tackles land ownership, water scarcity and market access. Secure land tenure and innovative irrigation solutions ensure year-round cultivation.
He envisions Ghanaian agriculture embracing 21st-century technologies, enhancing competitiveness and farmer livelihoods. Digital skills training empowers youth.
“Let’s harness digitalization for economic transformation,” Dr. Bawumia urged. “Together, we can make Ghana prosperous.”
His campaign promises resonated deeply with Volta Region farmers and youth.
