Bernard Anbataayela Mornah, flagbearer of the People’s National Convention (PNC), has taken legal action against the Electoral Commission (EC) following his disqualification from the upcoming presidential elections.
Mornah was among 11 presidential aspirants disqualified due to errors on their nomination forms. The EC cited incomplete supporter details, use of registered voters from one district to support nominations in others, and inconsistent signatures.
Mornah argues his disqualification breaches his rights, was illegal, and failed to follow due process. He seeks a court order compelling the EC to declare him duly nominated and restrain them from printing ballot papers or proceeding with the December 7 elections until his candidacy is confirmed.
