Namibian Delegation Visits Ghana Journalists Association to Explore RTI Law Implementation

A Namibian delegation from the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, led by Mr. Shasimana Uugulu, paid a courtesy call on the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) leadership at the Accra International Press Centre. The team is in Accra to study Ghana’s Right to Information (RTI) Law implementation.

Namibia recently passed similar legislation to promote free speech, freedom of expression, and access to information. The delegation includes Mr. Fillemon Johannes, Ms. Florence Haifene, and Mr. Reagan Malumo.

Ghana’s RTI Law, enacted in 2019, has a rich history dating back to 1999. It empowers citizens to access information from public offices, promoting transparency and accountability.
