Kumasi, Ghana – Chief Justice Her Ladyship Justice Gertrude Torkornoo has assured that the Election Management Committee has put in place measures to address parliamentary election disputes promptly, within the stipulated time frame. She made this announcement at the Annual Ghana Bar Association Conference in Kumasi.

The Chief Justice revealed that the committee, chaired by Bafour Bonnie, will launch a three-volume compendium in the coming weeks to guide stakeholders in election dispute resolution. This initiative aims to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the election dispute resolution process.

Justice Torkornoo emphasized the critical role the judiciary has always played in the election process, affirming its commitment to continue this role. She highlighted the importance of prompt dispute resolution in maintaining the integrity of the electoral process and upholding the rule of law.

The Chief Justice’s assurance comes as a welcome development ahead of future elections, as it seeks to address concerns about the timely resolution of election disputes.
