Kumasi, Ashanti Region – In a major intelligence-led operation, the Ghana Police Service has arrested 487 suspects linked to the QNET Ponzi scheme in Kumasi. The suspects, comprising 257 females and 230 males, were rounded up in a house at Adwuman near Kenyasi, a suburb of Kumasi, on September 2, 2024.
Preliminary investigations reveal that the suspects, through the scheme, lured unsuspecting individuals from various parts of the country with promises of lucrative returns on their investments. Police retrieved exhibits, including registration documents and materials bearing the QNET logos, from the suspects.
Twelve executives of the scheme, identified as Gyereh Evelyn, Francis Kpesah, Samuel Musah, and nine others, are currently in police custody, assisting with the investigation.
