As Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang stepped into the Central Region, a sea of enthusiastic faces greeted her with open arms. The warm welcome was a testament to the love and admiration the people had for their daughter, who had made them proud with her achievements.
Former President John Dramani Mahama, who accompanied Prof. Opoku-Agyemang on her visit, was visibly moved by the reception. “Thank you for the warm welcome, Nananom!” he exclaimed, using the local term of respect for chiefs.
As they made their way through the crowds, Mahama couldn’t help but express his confidence in Prof. Opoku-Agyemang’s abilities. “Together, we will win the December 7 election and build the Ghana we want,” he declared.
Mahama praised Prof. Opoku-Agyemang as “incorruptible, committed to Ghana, and possessing decades of experience that will be instrumental in shaping policies for sustainable development.” He emphasized that her expertise would create opportunities for all Ghanaians, regardless of their background or status.
The visit was a clear indication that Prof. Opoku-Agyemang had the support of her people, and with Mahama by her side, they were ready to take on the challenge of building a better Ghana.
