In a significant move to bolster the SME sector, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has launched the SME Growth and Opportunity (SMEs GO) programme. This initiative, spearheaded by the Ministries of Finance and Trade and Industry, and partner agencies, aims to provide coordinated financial and technical support to high-growth potential SMEs, driving economic growth and development.

The SMEs GO programme is designed to address the challenges faced by SMEs in Ghana, including limited access to finance, technical support, and market opportunities. By providing tailored support to high-growth potential SMEs, the program aims to unlock their potential, create jobs, and drive economic growth.

President Akufo-Addo emphasized the importance of SMEs in Ghana’s economic development, stating that they are the backbone of the economy and have the potential to drive growth and create jobs. He commended the Ministries of Finance and Trade and Industry, and partner agencies, for their collaborative effort in launching the SMEs GO programme.
