June 25, 2024, marked the beginning of the 2024 Africa Energy Forum (AEF) in Barcelona, Spain. The forum provides a platform for Ghana to showcase its investment potential in the energy, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.
At a Ministerial Roundtable, African Energy Ministers, including Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, discussed “Energy Systems for the Future” and the balance between Africa’s needs and global goals. Additionally, Dr. Prempeh met with the UK Trade Commissioner for Africa to explore investment opportunities in Ghana’s energy sector under the Powering Africa program.
The meetings aimed to position Ghana’s energy sector strategically for needed investment, particularly from the UK. This aligns with Ghana’s goal to attract investment and promote its energy sector as a destination of choice.
The forum presents a chance for Ghana to strengthen its partnerships and foster cooperation in the energy sector, driving growth and development in the country.
