Black Challenge Makes History, Wins AAFCON Title in Thrilling Match

Ghana’s Black Challenge made the country proud by winning the African Amputee Football Cup of Nations (AAFCON) in Cairo, Egypt. In a thrilling match that went into extra time, the Black Challenge team came from behind to defeat Morocco 2-1 and secure their third African championship title, equalling the record for most titles won.

The team’s victory was sweetened by the fact that they also qualified for the 2026 World Cup, alongside six other African countries – Morocco, Algeria, Nigeria, Angola, Liberia, and host Egypt.

Mubarak Mohammed, a standout player for the Black Challenge, was adjudged the Best Player of the tournament, capping off an impressive performance by the team.
