Congratulations to the Awardees below for their dedication and devotion to the GNC, and the progress of the Ghanaian community in Chicago.

Mrs. Patience Yawa Adigbli: was presented with the ”Pioneer of Excellence Award”, for her contribution to the betterment of the Ghanaian community by being among the pioneers that founded the Ghana National Council of Metropolitan Chicago, where she proudly served as the General Secretary from 1997 to 2003 in addition to many other community roles.

Imam Baba Cisse: received the ”Community Support of Excellence Award”, for his community involvement & preservation of culture. We thank him for his in-depth knowledge and contribution as a founding member of the Haske Organization, former GNC President, and the senior religious leader in the Muslim community.

Dr. Hajia Habiba Seidu-Fuseini, MSN-FNP-C, EdD. deservedly took home “The Excellence to Humanity Award” for being an advocate for the underserved and underprivileged, her mission in promoting the development of Northern Ghana, as well as her contributions to the Ghanaian Northern community in Chicago.

Nana Kwame Frimpong: was recognized with the ”Community Development of Excellence Award” for his dedication in the progression of the community leadership qualities displayed as the Abusuapanin with the Ghanaian Chieftaincy Council of Chicago.

The President’s Excellence Award went to The Presbyterian Church of Ghana Redemption Congregation Chicago, for hosting the Ghanaian Community Health Clinic. The Church’s Dedication to serving the community is truly commendable and we thank you for your selfless efforts in providing healthcare to those in need. The Resident Pastor , Rev. Dr. Nana Yaw Amponsah Antwi, received the Award on behalf of the Church.
