June 10, 2015- The Ghana National Council debuted a television program on CAN-TV, Channel 20, Chicago. The show will broadcast the second Wednesday of every month from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm and discuss issues affecting the Ghanaian community in the Chicago metropolitan area. The host was Mr. Steve Dei, the organizing secretary of the GNC, and produced by Ms. Felicia Agyare, a public relations consultant.
In its debut, the panel included the president of the GNC, Mr. Ebenezer Antwi-Nsiah. Discussions centered mainly on the upcoming Ghanaian cultural festival, Ghanafest. The president also briefed viewers on the deadly gas station explosion in Accra, Ghana, killing about 150 people. Mr. Nsiah promised to inform the community about arrangements to assist the victims later.
