The ‘’cathedral’’- a shrine to thank an unknown God !

Dr Nii Amu Darko writes:-

I’ll like to briefly write to Ken Ofori-Atta in response to some of the things he said on the Talking Point show of 12/06/2022.

Ken, I pity you. You’re a man in distress. You signed a treaty with a certain spirit medium unknown to Ghanaians that if it should help you win the 2016 elections, you’d build an edifice called a national cathedral to thank it. The spirit medium told you what would happen if you reneged on your pledge. The time for fulfilling your pledge is looming hence the psychotic ‘priority of priorities’’ noise by your President. Calamity of untold proportions will befall your house.

  1. You can’t thank God with a house. It’s blasphemous to think God is that vain. Why is it that after 65years of independence thanking God is the priority of priorities? What will God do to us if we don’t thank Him? Burn Ghana? There’s no Christianity outside what Jesus and his Apostles taught. This is what is written:

Acts 17:24-25
God who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heave and earth, does not live in temples made with hands. Nor is he worshipped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath and all things.

If any god accepted a pledge of a ‘’cathedral’’ from Nana, then It’s not the god of the New Testament. It’s a god unknown to Ghanaians.

I wish Mensa Otabil could find his voice but you’ve gagged him or rather he’s gagged himself because of the bank thing. Poor guy, I know he feels tortured everyday because he’s scared to talk. You’ll go for his jugular.

  1. Spirituality has nothing to do with a physical place. Hear what the Lord said:

John 4: 20-24

20 Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship.”
21 Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

I didn’t say it, Jesus did. Osu is as good as Jerusalem. The only infrastructure needed for spirituality is your body, the temple of the living God. The days of places and temples expired 2000years ago.

“Do you not know that you are the temple of God and the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God s holy, which you are.” 1 Corinthians 3:16-17.

There’s no ‘’cathedral’’ in the equation of God the Father. If any god accepted a ‘’cathedral’’ as the basis of growth of our spirituality, then that god is unknown to us. Wɔ le lɛ. We won’t build any shrine for that foul spirit medium.

All these lies, fabrications and distortions are coming straight from the bottomless pit and the father of all deception – SATAN. You know that, don’t you?

In summary, God doesn’t need your temple as a thank you. We don’t need your temple for our spiritual development. If you want to thank the God of the New Testament, I’ll show you what to do.

This is what Jesus said in Matthew 18:6

6 “But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.”

Focus on service to children, That’s the best way to thank God. Children are the best friends of Jesus. Woe unto you If your policies cause our children to stumble. And our children are stumbling, left, right, centre. You’re in trouble.

I advised Nana Addo when this shrine nonsense started that, if he had money to thank God with, he should build a modern 600bed world-class Specialist Children Hospital somewhere on the Akwapim mountain that may serve Ghana, Togo, Ivory Coast and Burkina as part of an ECOWAS Health Service Union. He didn’t listen, as you also won’t listen. The pressure to escape the calamity is too huge.

Guggisberg in 1928, built the Children Hospital in Korle-Wɔkɔ just couple of years after he built Korle-Bu, Achimota School and Makola. Then our population was 2.5m. Now, we’re over 30m. We need at least 600bed children hospital and not a shrine for an unknown god to avert a personal disaster.

Tswa omanye aba.
