Calling on the government to take serious their safety, the staff held various placards with inscriptions such as “No protection, No work”, and “Our safety is paramount”.

The staff of Pantang Hospital threatens that if their safety is not prioritized they will put down their tools and strike until the situation is resolved.

Meanwhile, the former Assembly Member for the Pantang Electoral area, Alhaji Baba Pantang says he believes the protestors have blown a minor situation into a huge proportion.

According to him, it is not right for the protesters to be shooting at the buildings of private individuals who are occupying the land when they have already been an engagement on the matter.
