MAHAMA RETURNS HOME AFTER HIGH‑IMPACT ENGAGEMENTS AT AFRICA FORWARD SUMMIT

President John Dramani Mahama has arrived back in Accra after a productive mission to Nairobi, where he participated in the Africa Forward Summit, an influential gathering co‑hosted by Kenyan President ,William Ruto , and French President Emmanuel Macron.

The summit brought together global and continental leaders to shape Africa’s next phase of economic transformation. President Mahama played an active role in the core deliberations, contributing to strategic conversations on energy transition, green growth, and the continent’s evolving development architecture. He joined a high‑level working session focused on strengthening African financial institutions and co‑chaired a forward‑looking dialogue on reimagining healthcare systems to meet the needs of a rapidly changing continent.

Beyond the plenary sessions, President Mahama engaged in a series of significant bilateral meetings with key global actors. These included discussions with Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund; António Guterres, Secretary‑General of the United Nations; leadership of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA); and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).

These engagements reinforced Ghana’s commitment to international cooperation, sustainable development, and the collective advancement of Africa’s economic and social priorities.
