NORTHBROOK, IL, — The countdown has officially begun. In just fourteen days, the Ghanaian community across the Midwest and beyond will gather at the Hilton Chicago Northbrook for a landmark occasion: the formal inauguration and enstoolment of the new leadership of the Chicago Asanteman Association.
Guided by the powerful theme, “United We Stand, Together We Rise,” the two-day celebration, scheduled for May 23 and 24, 2026, promises a stirring display of Asante heritage, communal pride, and the enduring spirit of service.
A Weekend of Tradition, Renewal, and Cultural Continuity
Festivities begin each evening at 6:00 PM, marking both a ceremonial transition of authority and a reaffirmation of the cultural bonds that unite the Asanteman diaspora. Organizers emphasize that this gathering is not merely an event, but a moment of renewal , a collective pledge to strengthen the association’s mission and future.
Event Schedule and Protocols
To ensure a smooth and dignified experience, the planning committee has issued the following guidelines:

- Admissions: Tickets are $100 for a two-night pass. A strict “No Ticket, No Entry” policy will be enforced each evening.

Cultural Dress Code
