The Chiefs and people of Kedzi, together with the Kedzi Welfare Union, have extended heartfelt appreciation to the distinguished national and regional leaders whose presence and support elevated this year’s Norvikporgbeza Festival into one of the most remarkable editions in recent memory.
This year’s celebration drew an impressive lineup of dignitaries, reflecting the growing national significance of the festival and the renewed cultural energy within the Keta enclave. Leading the delegation was H.E. Naana Jane Opoku‑Agyemang, Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, accompanied by her Chief of Staff, Hon. Alex Segbefia. Their participation underscored government’s recognition of Norvikporgbeza as a vital cultural asset and a platform for community development.
Also present was the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, whose consistent advocacy for cultural tourism continues to strengthen the region’s visibility. The Volta Regional Chairman, Cde Mawutor Agbavitor, attended with his two Vice Chairmen, Cde Egypt and Cde Divine, alongside Cde Elliot Wogbe, reaffirming the party’s solidarity with the people of Kedzi.
The Member of Parliament for Keta, Hon. Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey, joined the celebration, as did the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, whose ministry has been championing community‑based festivals as engines of local economic growth.
A strong contingent of Municipal, District and Constituency Executives also graced the occasion, including Hon. Wisdom Seade, Hon. Nicholas K. Worclachie, Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Doe, and Hon. Sandra Seyram Kpedor, whose presence highlighted the collaborative spirit driving development efforts across the Keta area.
Beyond the dignitaries, hundreds of invited guests, patrons, and well‑wishers traveled from across the country to participate in Norvikporgbeza 2026. Their generous contributions and enthusiastic support added to the festival’s success and reinforced Kedzi’s reputation as a vibrant cultural hub.
The Chiefs and people expressed profound gratitude to all who stood with them, noting that the unity and goodwill displayed this year have set a new benchmark for future celebrations. Plans are already underway to build on this momentum as the community looks forward to an even more impactful festival next year.
