His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, the Ga Mantse, headlined a prestigious Gala night in London hosted by the National Congress of Ghanaian Unions in collaboration with 10 Talents Global and Access Media.

Arriving with a distinguished royal entourage, the King’s presence served as a powerful symbol of cultural continuity and a bridge between the traditional leadership of Ghana and the vibrant diaspora community in the United Kingdom.

The event was designed to celebrate Ghanaian excellence and strengthen the bonds of heritage that unite citizens living abroad with their ancestral roots.

The royal delegation accompanying the Ga Mantse included several high-ranking traditional leaders and officials, notably Nuumo Akwaa Mensah III (Nae Wulomo), Nii Adote Odaawulu I, Nii Adjei Sanaa I, Nii Borketey Oye-Emu II, and Nii Sunkwa Ago Anum IV. Also in attendance to support the King’s diplomatic and ceremonial duties were Henry Okoe Tackie, Chief Aide and Equerry, Rev. Dr. Jacob Tetteh-Quarshie, Protocol Officer, and Naa Oshedu Tsofayelor.

Their collective presence underscored the significance of the occasion and the deep-seated respect for Ga tradition within the international arena.

A major highlight of the evening occurred when the Ga Mantse presented special leadership awards to two of Ghana’s most prominent female diplomats. Honored for their exceptional contributions to global governance and international relations were Mad. Shirley Ayorkor Botchway, Secretary-General of the Commonwealth of Nations, and Mrs. Zita Benson, Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK and Ireland.

These presentations rounded off an evening dedicated to the themes of unity and excellence, leaving a lasting impression on the Ghanaian community in London regarding the importance of honoring those who represent the nation with distinction on the world stage.
