Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang saw off President John Dramani Mahama on Sunday evening as he departed for a high-profile international tour beginning in the United Arab Emirates.
The President is scheduled to participate in the World Governments Summit 2026 in Dubai, a global platform dedicated to shaping the future of governance and public policy.
Following his engagements in the UAE, President Mahama will travel to Zambia for a three-day state visit. A key highlight of his itinerary in Lusaka includes a formal address to the Zambian National Assembly, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations. In a statement following his departure, Professor Opoku-Agyemang offered well wishes for the President’s journey, noting the importance of his mission in promoting Ghana’s interests on the global stage.
