The Ghana Police Service has made a significant breakthrough in the investigation of the November 2024 Adabraka Gold Jewellery Shop robbery with the retrieval of a key vehicle used in the crime and the arrest of its owner. On January 15, 2026, police operatives recovered a Toyota Highlander from Ashaiman Lebanon, identifying it as an exhibit in the high-profile robbery case. During the operation, authorities apprehended the owner of the vehicle, identified as Abdul Samid Larry, also known by the alias “Touch.”
Suspect Abdul Samid Larry is currently in lawful custody and is assisting the police with their ongoing inquiries. Investigators are working to establish the extent of his involvement in the 2024 heist and are utilizing information gathered from the arrest to trace other individuals connected to the criminal operation. The Toyota Highlander has been impounded as part of the formal evidence collection process as the case moves toward prosecution.
The Ghana Police Service has issued a statement assuring the public that the investigation into the Adabraka robbery remains active and comprehensive.
