CHICAGO, IL — In a bold and compassionate push to empower job seekers and underserved communities, the African American Christian Foundation has launched a transformative employment initiative offering free career training and certifications in high-demand fields. The program is open for enrollment now, with immediate placement opportunities available upon completion.

Participants can earn Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Pharmacy Technician credentials at no cost, along with certifications in CDL-C (Commercial Driver’s License), Food Handling, and other essential workforce skills. The initiative also includes a Reentry Program for formerly incarcerated individuals and a free GED track, ensuring that no one is left behind in the pursuit of a better future.
“This is more than training, it’s a lifeline,” said program organizers. “We’re helping people reclaim their dignity, build careers, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.”
The program is designed to meet the urgent demand for healthcare professionals and skilled workers in Illinois and beyond. With 2026 just beginning, the Foundation is calling on individuals ready to make a change, start fresh, and step into a career that matters.
Enrollment is open now at tinyurl.com/bdfv6esb (bing.com in Bing), and spots are filling quickly.
SankofaOnline applauds this initiative and urges all eligible individuals, especially youth, reentry candidates, and those seeking a second chance,to take advantage of this opportunity. A new career, a new chapter, and a new sense of purpose await.
