PHILADELPHIA, PA — In a strategic move to deepen economic ties between Ghana and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the US-Ghana Chamber of Commerce will host the highly anticipated US-Ghana Investor Forum on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 1717 Arch Street, Suite 400, Philadelphia. The event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and is expected to convene top government officials, business leaders, and investors from both sides of the Atlantic.
The forum is designed to unlock high-growth investment opportunities across key sectors including tourism, agribusiness, trade, and international development. It will feature a distinguished lineup of speakers:
- Hon. Dzifa Gomashie, Minister of Tourism, Culture & Creative Arts
- H.E. Victor Smith, Ghana’s Ambassador to the United States
- Hon. Eric Opoku, Minister of Food & Agriculture
- Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, Minister of Trade, AgriBusiness & Industry
- Harold T. Epps, Senior Advisor, US-Ghana Chamber of Commerce and former Director of Commerce, City of Philadelphia
- Senator Sharif Street, 3rd Senatorial District, Pennsylvania
- David Briel, Deputy Secretary, Office of International Business Development, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
Organizers say the forum will serve as a launchpad for bilateral partnerships, offering insights into Ghana’s evolving investment climate and Pennsylvania’s readiness to engage African markets. With Philadelphia’s growing role in global commerce and Ghana’s strategic position in West Africa, the event promises to be a catalyst for sustainable development and cross-border collaboration.
The forum is supported by a coalition of institutions including Millersville University, the U.S. Commercial Service, the African & Caribbean Business Council, and the Department of Commerce of the City of Philadelphia.
Registration is open at bit.ly/USGhanaInvestorForum (bit.ly in Bing), and early arrival is encouraged.
SankofaOnline will provide continuing coverage of this landmark event, which marks a new chapter in diaspora-led economic diplomacy. All stakeholders, entrepreneurs, and community leaders are urged to attend and contribute to shaping the future of US-Ghana trade relations.
