KUMASI, DECEMBER 3, 2025 — The management of the State Schools at Bantama—comprising State Boys, State Girls, and State Primary—officially notified the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, of the upcoming 80th-anniversary celebration of his alma mater, scheduled for 2026.
The King, who received the delegation during the last Awukudae Festival of the year at the Manhyia Palace, attended the State Primary School as a young royal. Historical records indicate that the Bantama State Primary School has been in existence since 1940, meaning the cluster of schools is set to commemorate its significant eight-decade milestone next year.
The school management sought the blessings and support of His Majesty for the celebration, acknowledging the institution’s long-standing history as a public school within the Kumasi Metropolitan area.
