Ghana is offering free visas to participants of the upcoming Diaspora Summit 2025, scheduled to take place at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) from December 19 to 20, 2025. The gesture is intended to encourage Africans and people of African descent to attend the Summit, which aims to foster cooperation and enduring partnerships.
Prospective participants are advised to visit the nearest Ghanaian Embassy, High Commission, or Consulate in their country of residence to obtain the free visa prior to their departure. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reminds attendees that the deadline for online registration for the event is Monday, December 8, 2025.
Nationals of several countries, including South Africa, Kenya, Jamaica, and Rwanda, as well as those holding diplomatic or official passports from nations such as China, Germany, and the UAE, are already exempt from visa requirements under existing reciprocal waiver agreements. The Ministry encourages all registered participants to begin their visa processing promptly.
