
Chicago, IL : November 25, 2025 – The Council of Ghanaian Churches in the Chicago Metropolis has announced that Mayor Brandon Johnson will visit the African community on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Christ’s Oasis Ministries International, located at 3101 N. Parkside Avenue.

The program, titled “Lakeside Chat,” will serve as a historic moment of fellowship between the Mayor of Chicago and the African diaspora. Mayor Johnson is expected to deliver a short address before engaging directly with attendees in an open question-and-answer session. Organizers describe the event as an opportunity for meaningful dialogue, networking, and shared vision. Civic leaders, stakeholders, and distinguished guests will join members of the African community to discuss issues of common concern, strengthen ties, and explore collaborative solutions.
