The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has issued a final reminder to all journalists to submit their entries for the 29th GJA Media Awards. The deadline for submission is Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 11:59 PM, and there will be no extension.
The awards are open to GJA members in good standing, who can submit works published or broadcast between January 1 and December 31, 2024. Entries must be submitted exclusively online via a WeTransfer link. This year’s event will be held in Manhyia, Kumasi.
According to the GJA, entrants can submit a maximum of two works for each of a maximum of two award divisions. Each entry must be an original, published work and cannot be entered in more than one division. All applicants must include personal details, their media house, and a passport-sized photo with their submission.
Student journalists must also upload a scanned copy of their student ID. The GJA advises all applicants to ensure they have a strong internet connection for a smooth uploading process. The association reserves the right not to present an award in any division if the entries do not meet the required standards.
