The Vice President of Ghana, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, attended the one-week observation of the late Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi. The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, who accompanied the Vice President.
Other notable attendees included the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia, Minister for Local Government Hon. Ahmed Ibrahim, and several other government officials and traditional leaders. The occasion was a solemn gathering to pay tribute to the late Queen Mother, who was remembered for her life of dignity, wisdom, and service to the nation.
The attendees joined His Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and the entire Asanteman in mourning the passing of the revered Queen Mother. The ceremony was a testament to the respect and admiration for the late Asantehemaa’s contributions to the nation. May her soul rest in perfect peace.
