Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has expressed sadness over the passing of renowned music icon, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba. In a statement, the former President described Daddy Lumba as a “pantheon among musical greats of all-time” and acknowledged his special connection with fans and the nation.
The former President noted that Daddy Lumba’s hit songs will remain lasting contributions to his presidential journey and the New Patriotic Party’s political campaign. He highlighted the significant impact of Daddy Lumba’s music on Ghanaians and the nation as a whole.
The former President expressed sorrow over the loss, stating that Daddy Lumba will be “sorely missed”. He wished the legendary musician eternal peace, praying that his soul rests in the bosom of the Almighty until the Last Day of the Resurrection.
