As the world reels away from the COVID-19 Pandemic, so have celebrations curtailed to prevent the spread of the disease over the past two years surged. It is therefore not surprising when members of the Ghanaian Community in Chicago were out in their numbers to celebrate this year’s Thanksgiving with friends and family across the city. Some took to social media to post videos and pictures of events held to mark the day. It is a norm that when Mr. and Mrs. Agyeman are in Obama Town, they would host one of the largest gatherings to observe the day in the Ghanaian community. About 60 members were there to wine, dine, and danced the evening away.
