On Thursday 3rd February, 2022, Hon Micheal Okyere Baafi (MP),deputy minister in-charge of industry, and the Minister , Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng undertook an industrial visit to Atlantic Lifesciences Limited, a company registered under the 1D1F initiative at Larpleku in the Ningo-Prampram district of Greater Accra region.
The USD35M state of the art facility financed by Ghana EXIM Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and the company’s own equity, is a specialized factory with a sterile pharmaceutical plant for Infusions, Eye drops, Vaccines/Sera, Injections and General Anesthesia drugs.
It also operates a modern filling-line compliant to current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) in the sub region.
It currently employs 350 direct workers and could increase to 1000 when fully operational, including specialists in Biochemists, Microbiologists, Pharmacists, Chemists, and Lab Technicians, among others.
The company is expected to be commissioned in April of this year.
