Celebrating the life of Paul Freeman Ghartey

Frederick Maryland November 10 2018: The Ghartey and Gligah families home and abroad, had a Home Going Service and celebrated the life of the late Paul Freeman Papa Akae Ghartey at Frederick and Germantown, Maryland, respectively. Attendance was moderate. Significant among the attendees were Dinah Agyei Barwuah, wife of Ghana’s Ambassador to the United States and long time friend of the Ghartey Family ;Ms.Rosemary Amegashie,Ms.Vicky Sabblah, Mr. and Mrs. Bugyei, Francis Kofi Gligah and his family , Flora Gligah, Juliet Gligah and others.

Attendees were deeply moved by the many glowing tributes that were paid in his honor and memory. Reverend Kofi Larbi Boateng hailed the late Paul Ghartey’s impact on his church. The late Paul Ghartey was one of the first members who fully volunteered their services to the church’s growth. The widow, Monica Ghartey’s tribute touched the hearts of attendees as many were seen fighting off tears when she recounted the many good times they spent together as a family. She started her tribute with the song, “Yewo Oman Bi Wo Ho” by Helena Rhabbles!

The Ghartey and Gligah families express their sincere thanks to all for your prayers, flowers, donations and other expressions of love and care during their time of bereavement. God bless you all.
