Students of the College of Engineering of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), have manufactured drones for various purposes.

The development of the drones are in line with the University’s core mandate as a Science, Technology and Engineering based institution to propel national development.

The Provost of the College of Engineering, Professor Mark Adom-Asamoah, who conducted newsmen round some of the new inventions, explained that the drones are built for purposes including medical supplies to deprived areas such as the Afram Plains.

On why the members of the public have been chastising KNUST for not living up to expectation in solving many Science and Technology related problems of the country, Professor Adom-Asamoah said apart from producing about 95% of Ghana’s total number of Engineers manning various sectors of the nation, the Engineering College of the KNUST has also invented so many things helping the society.
