Players of Hearts of Oak were full of smiles on Sunday as they were paid a winning bonus of GH¢1,000 each after their 3-2 comeback win over Inter Allies at the Tema Park.
Coach Kenichi’s side put up a spirited performance on Sunday to deepen the woes of Inter Allies.
Many pundits had predicted a win for Inter Allies or a possible draw in the game, as some gave Hearts of Oak little chance of picking all three points against Coach Herbert Addo’s men, especially at their Tema Park.
The team which initially had a winning bonus of GH¢300 last season saw that amount doubled to GH¢600 by the board coming into the 2015/16 season but had GHC1,000 for their sterling outing on Sunday.
Apart from the GHC1000 some die-hard supporters gave individual players money.

Starr Sports can confirm that the management of Accra Hearts of Oak has officially met the Minister of Youth and Sports, Nii Lante Vanderpuije, on the possible closure of the Accra Sports Stadium after the Ghana Black Stars game against Mozambique.
Hearts have pleaded with all stakeholders to help extend the closure date of March 24 to the end of the first round of the Ghana Premier League in order to use the month’s break for the renovation.
The deteriorating national stadium has been dubbed a ‘death trap’ by a section of football fans and the media.
Some metal structures of the stadium are gradually corroding, especially the ministry side of the pitch.
The stadium was handed over to the National Sports Authority (NSA) in 2008.
