GPL Wrap: Hearts record a third win; Kotoko woes continue

Hearts record a third win
Two goals from experience striker Saddick Adams ensured Berekum Chelsea beat Asante Kotoko 2-0 in the Ghana premier league at the Golden City park on Sunday.

The former Ghana U-17 and U-23 star scored twice in a space of four minutes in the first department of the game to extend Chelsea’s unbeaten record at home to 40 games.

Accra Hearts of Oak continued their resurging run in the Ghana Premier League after defeating Bechem United 3-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium. Samuel Yeboah, Mustapha Essuman and Isaac Mensah were on target for Hearts of Oak while John Nyamekye got the consolation for Bechem United.

Elsewhere Eric Bekoe and Kadri Mohammed scored for Sekondi Hasaacas and Ashanti Gold respectively as both teams shared spoils at the Essipong Stadium in Sekondi.

At the Dansoman Karl Reindorf Park, Latif Blessing scored the lone goal to help Liberty Professionals pip Techiman City 1-0.

New Edubiase and Inter-Allies drew blank at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.

Aduana Stars secured their first win of the season after defeating WAFA 1-0 at the Dormaa Park. Thanks to a penalty goal by Godfred Saka.

Dreams FC and WA All Stars shared honours to at the Dawu Park on Saturday.

Ebusua Dwarfs and Medeama SC’s clash has been postponed due to the latter’s continental assignment.
