PHOTOS: Gov’t reveals Gh¢100k support for Kintampo crash victims

President John Mahama has announced a Gh¢100,000 support for victims of the fatal Kintampo – Tamale highway motor crash last Wednesday.

Sixty-three persons lost their lives in the crash which occurred at the Kintampo Waterfalls junction.

Visiting survivors of the crash on Sunday in the company of the National Democratic Congress General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia and the Chief of Staff Julius Debrah, Mahama also donated assorted items such as cartons of Milo and milk for their upkeep.

Twenty-three people were injured in the accident which has been attributed to brake failure in some quarters.

The injured are receiving treatment at various hospitals such as the Techiman Government Hospital, Komfo Anokye Hospital, Sunyani Government Hospital and the Holy Family Hospital in Sunyani.

Six of the injured are in critical condition and have been airlifted to Accra for special care.
