NPP suspends Kwabena Agyepong, Crabbe indefinitely

The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has suspended its General Secretary Kwabena Agyepong and Second Vice chair Sammy Crabbe, has learnt.

Both executives have been handed an indefinite suspension by the elephant family.

The decision was taken after the National Executive Committee of the party met over the Disciplinary Committee’s recommendations regarding the two,Thursday.

The sanctions were recommended by the DC after some party members filed petitions of misconduct against the two after they openly questioned the party’s decision to suspend its national chairman Paul Afoko.

While the general secretary made himself available to the disciplinary committee during the probing into the allegations against them, Crabbe snubbed them and questioned their powers to invite him.

The party is expected to issue a statement to announce the development.

The NPP has been inflicted with a protracted internal wrangling that has seen the suspension of its national chairman. Afoko has, however, sued the party and it acting national chairman Freddie Blay over the suspension.
