Ghanaian judges have now become subjects of ridicule in restaurants and homes in the country following the corruption scandal that has rocked the judiciary, President John Mahama has stated.
According to the President, the expose’ by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has massive effect on the reputation of the various arms of government and even the Media.
“The Anas video has provoked all kinds of salacious conversations and discussions both in private and in the media, and our judges regrettably have become the butt of jokes in chop bars and restaurants,” Mr. Mahama stated during the commissioning of a new court complex in Accra Friday.
He added: “This menace affects all segments of our society. The Executive, the legislature, the media, the judiciary, traditional rulers, health facilities and indeed the list is endless.
