Rhapsody of Realities

And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified (Acts 20:32).
Years ago, there were statements many were fond of making that just didn’t go down well with my spirit. For example, in referring to something that was trending or in vogue, they’d say, “This dress is what’s reigning” or “This brand of car is what’s reigning now”. I couldn’t accept such or permit anyone to say such around me, because nothing, and no one else reigns, but Jesus, and He reigns through me.
I think this way because the Word has cultured my understanding. The Word of God has given me an extraordinary mentality; I can’t think otherwise. Make up your mind to be cultured by the Word; it’s something you have to do for yourself. Follow the Word; copy Jesus; emulate His lifestyle. Study the way He lived and ministered, and follow His examples.
Only the Word of God can mould you into that man or woman that God has destined you to be. It doesn’t matter your background; you can be cultured by the Word; it’s a choice that you have to make. I may not know what influences you might have been exposed to, and why you think the way you do, but I know that the Word of God can give you a new mentality.
Let God’s Word be the light by which you see all things. Let it guide you in your marriage, ministry, academics, business, finances, and every area of your life. Let your outlook on life be from the perspective of God’s Word. When you allow the Word of God to culture your spirit, His glory and abundant provisions become real to you.
Blessed Father, my delight is in your Word, which I cherish more than my necessary food! My mind is renewed, and my spirit conditioned by your Word for greatness! I’m like a tree growing by the stream, blooming and blossoming with fruitfulness, and impacting my world with your righteousness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. ;
