Man, 54, killed by land guards

A 54-year-old caretaker, Atta Ntim, has allegedly been kidnapped and killed by land guards at Royal City, Papase Number One, on the Kasoa-Bawjiase road.

Ntim was said to have been dragged from his house shortly after returning from church on Sunday, March 24, 2013, and killed by the land guards.

The Kasoa District Crime Officer, ASP Moses Naa-Kolgo Agbegne, told the Daily Graphic yesterday that the land over which Ntim was the caretaker belonged to one Alex Abankwa, who had asked his nephew to take care of it.

The crime officer said on Saturday, March 23, a group of land guards had gone to the land to erect some pillars on a portion they had earmarked for sale and that when Ntim confronted them, they left the scene.

“On Sunday, Ntim returned from church and was in his house when the land guards entered the house and kidnapped him. His body was found in a bush about 15 minutes later,” ASP Agbegne said.

Ntim’s body has since been deposited at the Police Hospital mortuary, while the police have begun full-scale investigations into the case.
