The Ghana – Equatorial Guinea semi-final game had to be suspended following the hurling of missiles and attack on Ghanaian fans at the stadium.
The Ghanaians had to rush to the pitch to seek refuge as the Black Stars were leading 3-0 against the hosts of the Africa Cup of Nations.
The referee had to suspend the game with 10 minutes to end normal proceedings. The riot police are having difficult time to control the fans who keep throwing projectiles onto the pitch since their side had lost.
A helicopter emerged over the night horizon as the stands are being emptied.
