Fire is ravaging the biggest drug storage and distribution outlet belonging to the Ministry of Health in Ghana, according to eyewitnesses.
Personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service are at the scene battling to control the inferno which has attracted a huge crowd.
The Central Medical Stores at the Tema Heavy Industrial Area is the main distribution outlet in the West African country.
It also serves as a depot for World Health Organisation’s supplies.
It is believed that the fire was caused by a burning bush a few metres away from the main building a few hours ago.
Starrfmonline.com understands the four hydrants around the area are not working hence the fire fighters had to fall on private water tankers to supply them with water to douse the blaze.
