Hiplife artiste Kwaw Kese is expected to be arraigned in court Monday after being arrested by the police in Kumasi for smoking banned substances suspected to be “weed”.
According to the Ashanti Regional Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Yusif Tanko, they are charging him with possession of narcotics.
He is expected to be arraigned at the KMA Circuit Court.
Kwaw Kese spent the weekend in police cells in Kumasi after being arrested at about 11:30 pm on Saturday.
He was picked up at a popular drinking spot – Plus 2 – at Nhyiaeso, near the Golf Park.
Kese was in Kumasi to perform at an old schools re-union programme organised by Luv FM, a local radio station in Kumasi.
ASP Tanko told Graphiconline that Kwaw Kese was seen publicly smoking the substances, which was taken away from him by the police.
