There is an acute shortage of gas in some parts of the national capital-Accra – and parts of the Volta region, Starr News has gathered.
Fuel stations visited by Starr News had long queues of frustrated drivers and domestic users of gas, scrambling for the commodity.
Only a few stations visited had some of the product, albeit scanty reserves.
The situation has been blamed on an ongoing exercise to replace a pipeline between the Tema habour and the area around the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) where gas is delivered.
The replacement of the pipeline has been going on for a week, and as a result, delivery of gas has been impossible.
Meanwhile the National Petroleum Authority has assured that supply of the product will normalise latest by (today) Monday, October 6.
