Prayer for African Leaders in America

By The Journalist and Pauline

God bless African leaders in Washington seeking solace for the Continent’s troubles.
God bless America for swallowing some our leaders’ foibles.
Even though America have labeled most African leaders as despots and whatnots,
America is still ready to receive you leaders when what most of you have to offer is naught.
Through experience, we know that most of the promises and the generosity that America has to offer African leaders will go into specific pockets,
As most African leaders, use their offices as markets.
With humanism, tax write-offs and other incentives, America will always provide,
Yet, some African leaders, after receiving all these remunerations, will egg on their indigenous people to conquer and divide.
In America, division is rampant ala Republicans, Democrats and Obama,
Nevertheless, solidarity comes first just like a child and its mother.
Africans are watching,l
The World is gawking.
A summit of this magnitude will forever linger in the minds of the people,
In addition, some of the leaders still will render their own people feeble.
African leaders, how can you smile when your people are anguished?
African leaders, how can you enjoy when most of your people are abandoned?
Your words do not mean,
Your promises have become lean.
African leaders, now is the era to make a change,
Let progress be your mantra and your faith.God bless African leaders in Washington seeking solace for the Continent’s troubles.

  • Patrick OseiBuilding better institutions to help growth and infrastructure is what’s all about, no more divide and rule policies. The people of the continent are fed with their political talkshop.

  • Kwame SarpongThe world is watching and whatever impact from the summit will depend on how these leaders tranfer the message when they hit the grounds on the soil of Africa. We will be watching. Disappointment this time will be a set back. Please do not drag us another two decades. The young need a change .

  • Florence AddoWe hope to see real change when our leaders get back home, since the children of Africa are really tired of migrating to other continents seeking food and shelter. We have all the natural resources, oil, gold and tropical lands for agriculture! The world is watching…!
