In a powerful call to action, Speaker of Parliament Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin urged African nations to unite under the banner of Pan-Africanism to bolster democracy, stability, and development. Addressing the National Assembly of Côte d’Ivoire, Speaker Bagbin emphasized the need for African legislators to work in solidarity to combat terrorism, resolve conflicts, and address climate change.

Joining forces with five other Speakers of National Parliaments from Senegal, Benin, Togo, Nigeria, and the ECOWAS Parliament, Speaker Bagbin reinforced the shared commitment to strengthening African Unity through parliamentary diplomacy and dialogue. His message resonated deeply, as he was accompanied by his spouse, Madam Linda Ofosuah Oboh, and several Members of Parliament.

Speaker Bagbin’s impassioned plea for Pan-African cooperation echoes the sentiments of Ghana’s founding father, Kwame Nkrumah, who championed African unity and self-determination. As Ghana continues to play a pivotal role in promoting regional stability and development, Speaker Bagbin’s call to action serves as a powerful reminder of the need for collective action in shaping a brighter future for Africa.
