Accra, Ghana – The Office of the President has issued a statement categorically denying any involvement in a land dispute with Ghana International School (GIS). The statement comes after allegations surfaced that the Head of the VIP Unit had been involved in a dispute over a piece of land belonging to GIS.

According to the statement, the Office of the President has no interest in the land in question and has not directed any officer or agent to interfere with GIS’s property. The statement also clarifies that Chief Superintendent Ibrahim Opoku of the VIP unit was simply performing his duty when he handed over alleged encroachers to the Cantonments Police Station after chancing upon an altercation on his way from work.
The Office of the President has made a formal complaint to the Inspector-General of Police to investigate the matter and is urging the public to disregard any statements to the contrary. The move aims to clear the presidency’s name and ensure that the truth behind the land dispute is uncovered.
As the investigation unfolds, Ghanaians will be watching closely to see how the matter is resolved and whether the presidency’s denial is corroborated by the facts. One thing is certain – the people demand transparency and accountability from their leaders.
